PostSubject: Squeaky Strum Bar   Mon May 05, 2008 12:32 am

I have a red sg that came with Guitar Hero 2, so kinda old. It has a squeaky strum bar occasionally? What can fix that?

My mom's did that, and mine still does : On the inside where the strumbar is, the plastic around it is covered in grease. The grease wears down, and the plastic strumbar hits the plastic guitar, thus making a squeaky sound. Now to fix this, heres what you do: Get some Vaseline, and rub it all around where the strumbar is around. That should fix your problem.

Ugh, I don't feel like doing that. I'll just deal with the occasional squeak Neutral

After awhile all you can hear is the squeeking and you can't hear the song.

Wow. Well it does it about twice a week for only like 30 seconds then stops for the rest of the night. If it gets worse I'll take it apart

Ok when not if.

But I'm the only person who has a squeaky strum bar even though I know people who've had sg's longer then me. Why is that?

The only problem with mine is the star power doesn't activate on songs like Jordan. You have to press select.

How long have you had it for... I've had my Red SG for 8 months now, and apart from occasional "Game doesn't realise I actually have anything plugged into it", it's fine.
